Uzbekistan Delegation Takes Part in the Second Ministerial Meeting of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Authorities in OIC Member States

On November 26-27, the delegation of Uzbekistan, headed by Akmal Burkhanov, Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency, took part in the second ministerial meeting of anti-corruption law enforcement agencies in the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), hosted by Doha, Qatar.

The meeting, held every two years, discussed issues of further expanding the scope of the Makkah Agreement for Cooperation among OIC Member States in the Field of Enforcing Anti-Corruption Laws, as well as the development of regional and international cooperation.

As part of the meeting, the delegation of Uzbekistan held meetings with the competent anti-corruption authorities of Saudi Arabia and Indonesia, as well as with the leadership of the International Anti-Corruption Academy.

During the talks, the meeting participants were provided with detailed information on the anti-corruption reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, as well as mechanisms for the mutual exchange of experience and plans for the future were discussed.

In particular, the parties reached agreements on organizing special trainings on combating corruption, launching joint projects in various areas of combating corruption, as well as providing technical, methodological and expert support for projects developed and implemented by the Agency.
