Uzbekistan’s Anti-Corruption Agency and OSCE Identified New Areas in the Fight Against Corruption
On April 3, Deputy Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency Umida Tukhtasheva held a meeting with Bakyt Dzhusupov, Co-ordinator of OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities.
Welcoming the guest, Umida Tukhtasheva expressed gratitude for the practical assistance provided by OSCE experts in launching the open.index platform for assessing the openness of government agencies and the E-learning platform for improving the skills of employees responsible for openness, as well as in improving regulatory documents in this area.
The parties then discussed the effective continuation of cooperation in new areas, including plans and goals for 2025-2026.
The meeting put forward specific proposals for conducting social surveys aimed at assessing the effectiveness of anti-corruption reforms, corruption and gender, working with youth, increasing the capacity of regions to combat corruption, strengthening cooperation with civil society institutions and NGOs, expanding the quality and capabilities of the training modules of the Virtual Anti-Corruption Academy.
It was also proposed to establish close cooperation between the chambers of the Oliy Majlis, in particular the committees responsible for combating corruption, with the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, as well as to ensure the participation of the Uzbek side in joint projects and prestigious events of the organization.

At the end of the meeting, Bakyt Dzhusupov, noting the effective implementation of anti-corruption reforms in Uzbekistan, expressed the readiness of the OSCE to support proposals in this area and actively cooperate with the Agency in new areas.
