A 30-Day "State of Emergency" Against Corruption Declared in Construction and Housing and Communal Services

Today, a critical meeting was held at the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Economy regarding corruption-related issues. The meeting was attended by the Ministry's central apparatus, an official from the Anti-Corruption Agency (the head of the Ministry's compliance control unit), as well as heads and responsible officers of system organizations and regional departments.

The meeting featured a sharp critique of systemic shortcomings in the communal sector. Specifically, the persistence of the "human factor" in certain processes was heavily criticized, despite the digitalization of various areas through the "Shaffof qurilish" (Transparent Construction) platform.

In this regard, disciplinary actions, including formal reprimands, were taken against department heads who allowed such deficiencies. To resolve the existing problems within a short period, a 30-day "state of emergency" was declared.

During this period, specific tasks were assigned to fully digitalize all sectors of the communal industry and minimize human intervention to the greatest extent possible.

Officials were warned that strict measures would be applied to those causing delays or showing negligence in the execution of these directives. Priority tasks aimed at strengthening an uncompromising approach to corruption were established during the meeting.

Reminder: As part of a legal experiment, the internal anti-corruption control unit of the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Economy has been transferred to the Anti-Corruption Agency.
