At the regular meeting of the Committee on Judicial-Legal Issues and Anti-Corruption of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, the Law ‘On anti-corruption expertise of legal acts and their drafts’ has been discussed.

The document, developed jointly with the Anti-Corruption Agency and interested departments, provides for the following:

• anti-corruption expertise will also be carried out by the justice authorities, the Anti-Corruption Agency, legal services of organizations;

• the range of legal acts will be clearly defined, according to which anti-corruption expertise will be carried out;

• public participation in the anti-corruption expertise of legal acts will be strengthened.

According to the senators, this law will serve to improve the quality of existing and adopted legal acts.

Based on the results of the discussions, the Committee adopted an appropriate decision setting up important tasks and recommendations for the responsible organizations and departments.
