Results and future plans for combating corruption based on an inclusive approach were discussed
A regular meeting of the Supervisory Board of the joint project “Improving Public Administration in Uzbekistan: An Inclusive Approach to Corruption Prevention” was held at the Anti-Corruption Agency.

For reference: The project is being implemented by the Anti-Corruption Agency with financial support from the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), in cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), the Slovenian international organization “Regional Dialogue,” and the Central Finance and Contracting Agency of Latvia (CFCA).

During the meeting, the effectiveness of the activities implemented in 2025, as well as practical measures and action plans scheduled for 2026, were discussed.
Last year, within the framework of the project and in cooperation with Transparency International, the assessment of Uzbekistan’s National Integrity System was completed. Seminars for NGOs on public procurement and open data were held in Tashkent and Samarkand.
In addition, 115 journalists and bloggers were trained in investigative journalism methods, digital security, and the legal aspects of data handling. A mentorship and grant program was also launched for 15 of the most active participants.

As noted, in the current year an analysis of the legal and regulatory framework in the field of anti-corruption will also be carried out, and the implementation of international legal standards into national legislation will be studied.

In addition, efforts to enhance the capacity of mass media and public activists in the field of anti-corruption will be consistently continued.
As a result of the discussions, tasks and objectives were defined to ensure the successful implementation of these efforts.
