Violations Revealed in Three Public Procurements for Over 1 Billion Soums
The Anti-Corruption Agency has conducted a remote study of government procurements, which revealed violations in three procurements with a total value of more than 1 billion soums.
Those include:
- Purchase for 432.0 million soums for the provision of outsourcing services for hot meals by order of the Tashkent City Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital No. 5 on January 30;
- Purchase for 79.9 million soums for the procurement of an electric motor by order of the Pumping Stations and Energy Department at the Left Bank-Amudarya Basin Administration of Irrigation Systems on February 9;
- Purchase for 533.2 million soums for the procurement of pipes and sheets by order of the Olot District Administration of the Amu-Bukhara Machine Canal on February 14.
The above customers violated the requirements of Articles 10, 14, 20 and 46 of the Law ‘On Public Procurement’, as well as the Regulations approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers ‘On the procedure for organizing and conducting procedures related to public procurement.’
In this regard, the Anti-Corruption Agency submitted statutory notices to customers to cancel the Minutes of Procurement Commissions.
According to the Agency, the customers ensured the cancellation of the Minutes of the Procurement Commissions.
The collected materials were submitted to law enforcement agencies in order to bring to justice persons who violated the requirements of the legislation on public procurement.
